Company Overview

Process Photonics is an innovative supplier of custom and standard, laser-based, material processing systems for PCB, Electronics Assembly, and Medical Device Industries. The company is uniquely positioned to address these opportunities with expertise in optics, motion and vision systems, part handling and integration of OEM equipment into industrially robust stand-alone machines.

Current standard product offerings include systems for circuit board via drilling, flex circuit processing, general high-precision material removal, as well as machines for medical component manufacture.

Customers benefit from Process Photonics’ extensive experience in light and material interactions in the development of custom manufacturing solutions.  Our latest generation products include the integration of test capability to verify processing performance with visual inspection, precision measurement, and electrical parameter test.  Products are designed to interface with an existing manufacturing line, with part conveyors, autoloaders, GERBER file compatibility, and data logging to name a few of the features available. 

Process Photonics was founded in 2002 by former GSI Lumonics designers, engineers, and scientists with an average of over 12 years previous experience in advanced laser systems design and manufacturing.

Experience

The founders of Process Photonics have been developing advanced manufacturing systems for many years. They have worked with customers to develop laser processes and markets, and have developed and manufactured equipment for their production requirements.  This includes providing after-market service and support to customers in a competitive market place.

Process Photonics is experienced in many aspects of production processes, with a deep understanding of both the process physics and the systems technology that makes laser beams work as advanced manufacturing machine tools. 

PPI's design team core disciplines for laser systems engineering are optical design, electrical engineering, mechanical design, and embedded systems and Windows™ software development.

Responsiveness

Process Photonics reacts quickly to customer needs in providing prototypes and custom systems. The PPI design team have many years' experience working together efficiently as a core development team.

Suppliers

Process Photonics has excellent relationships with suppliers of lasers, optics, electronics, motion sub-systems, and other local suppliers of system components and manufacturing services.  Many of our suppliers are providing direct referrals to PPI for consulting and design services, and system integration.

Customers

Process Photonics' customers range from large multinational corporations to small companies and research institutes.
